Dave Donmoyer

There have been many people that have worked for and given their time and resources to the cemetery. It would take multiple web sites to thank all of these men and women.

If you have been to the Cemetery, had a question, or asked for help from the 1970's right up to beginning of 2017 than you met and/or talked to Dave Donmoyer. Even after his death, his family showed kindness and has been gracious and answered any questions that I've had.

Dave was a member of the board for over 40 years. He spent countless hours up at the cemetery working, organizing volunteer work, helping people find their ancestors, sharing stories about the Cemetery and the families buried there.

He provided equipment, gas and needed repairs for decades. He used his own resources for this. Sometimes using the boy scouts or other organizations, but always providing what was best for the Cemetery.

Dave and Fritz Reed started the Heritage Festival Tours in 2009. Fritz started off as the tour guide, and all money raised went to the Cemetery, All those involved in reenacting the people buried there did so on their own time and because they wanted to help the cemetery. They have all been wonderful gracious individuals.

In 2010, Dave provided copies of the burial records and after 2 years, the database of the burials was finally digital and with the encouragement of Dave, the web site became more than just an idea

Jeanne Shaffer got in touch with Christina Curran and the Web Site was designed. These two wonderful women made the web site a reality.

Today the web site is paid for and maintained by an individual. The data base is about 90% accurate and is for anyone looking for a loved one or an ancestor. Sometimes a burial record, is all we have acknowledging those who came before us.

Dave may be gone but never forgotten. R.I.P. my friend.

For anyone who has volunteered, donated, supported, and helped out in any way, it has not gone unnoticed and is appreciated. Thank You
